Preschoolers were out in the Primrose Patch harvesting cucumbers for our Primrose chefs. We learned that cucumbers from the garden are prickly, but the tiny spines easily brush off with your fingers. Plants use these spines to protect themselves from hungry animals. Our chefs are very grateful for their many little helpers this summer!
